Mobile Spy v5.0 With LIVE Monitoring Now Available!

Mobile Spy (www.mobile-spy.net) just released v5.0 of their popular spy phone software.  This new upgrade brings two new exciting features to Mobile Spy.

SMS Commands: This feature enables you to send an SMS message to the phone you’re monitoring to perform a function or retrieve live information.

Here is a full list of SMS command features now offered with Mobile Spy v5.0.

Lock / unlock the phone remotely.Receive the live GPS position of the monitored phone via SMS on your device.Retrieve the current SIM card information via SMS sent to your device.Remotely wipe the monitored phone’s recent activities, contacts and photos.

Offering a way to control the phone via SMS commands is not new, other spy phone vendors have been offering this for a while, but at least it now brings Mobile Spy’s spy app on par with their competitors in terms of features — but at a price much lower than what their competitors are charging.

Mobile Spy LIVE: This new feature (not available ANYWHERE else), enables you to view the actual screen of the phone you are monitoring — LIVE!  What this means is you now have a way to monitor any phone LIVE and see what they are doing on their phone, which apps they are using, who they are chatting with, etc. The possibilities of this new feature are endless.

Here is a breakdown of all the features that are included in Mobile Spy LIVE.

You can now view the monitored phone’s actual screen live.The phone’s last five (5) GPS positions will be displayed on a live map.Retrieve the phone’s live GPS position or SIM card information at any time.Have call, SMS or contact logs emailed to your email account instantly.Initiate an SMS or a phone call from the monitored device to any number.Start / stop an alert siren on the device if lost or stolen.Remotely lock / unlock the phone from your computer.Email Log Delivery enables you to have the recorded activity logs emailed directly to your email address automatically.

This new LIVE monitoring feature is pretty exciting stuff. Although I personally feel it might be tough to see what someone is doing on their phone without knowing “when” they are using it.  Maybe Mobile Spy will add a notification feature that will let you know when the target phone is in use? That would be a fantastic upgrade to this.  However, until that day happens you’ll just have to try and see what the live monitoring uncovers.

I can see employers using this as a way to audit their employee issued cell phones to make sure they not being used to play games during work hours.  Parents can do the same during school hours and make sure their kids are not abusing their phone privileges. A suspicious spouse can monitor their spouse’s cell phone to see if they are using a chat program to carry on an affair. Lots of possibilities here.

What I do REALLY like about the Mobile Spy LIVE, is the live tracking and email delivery of logs.  Mobile Spy and other spy phone vendors report GPS locations via predefined intervals (this can be anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending on the spy phone vendor you are using), so having a way to get live GPS logs and see the locations displayed on a live map is pretty cool. The email delivery of logs is also a nice feature because it’s not always convenient to log onto your Mobile Spy control panel to view the logs if you’re at work or using someone’s computer.

Overall, this is a solid update from Mobile Spy and once again reminds everyone why they are the leaders in the spy phone industry. No other spy phone vendor has a live monitoring feature, and I’m sure it will be a while before one does. I’m excited to see what else these guys have up their sleeves. I’ll be getting my hands on this new version plus Mobile Spy LIVE. Once I’ve had a chance to test it out for a few days, I’ll report back.
